Dr. Gary L. Livingston, MD, FACS is a board-certified Otolaryngologist–Head and Neck Surgeon with over 37 years of experience treating adult and pediatric patients. He provides comprehensive ENT care with specialized expertise in thyroid and parathyroid surgery, sleep apnea, salivary gland disorders, head and neck tumors, hearing loss, and balance problems.
Dr. Livingston earned his Bachelor of Science in Biochemistry from the University of Illinois, his Doctor of Medicine, magna cum laude, from Loyola University Stritch School of Medicine, and completed his ENT residency at the University of Illinois Eye and Ear Infirmary. He has held leadership roles at Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, Northwestern/Centegra hospitals, and Memorial Medical Center, serving on surgical, cancer, and medical executive committees.
Known for a patient-centered, conservative approach, Dr. Livingston emphasizes listening, clear explanations, and balanced guidance on treatment options. He combines medical management with surgical expertise when appropriate, partnering with patients to improve quality of life through comprehensive, compassionate care.
