Our audiologists work with both pediatrics and adults.
Where To Buy Hearing Aids
Advice for where to buy a hearing aid can come from all over, but we encourage you to talk to us about a proper treatment plan for you. Shopping online does not give you the individualized treatment you may need when it comes to the selection process.
After meeting with our audiologist about what device is right for you, we will assist you regarding fitting, maintenance, and programming services. We want to ensure an optimal treatment plan and help with any questions or concerns.
How To Choose A Hearing Aid
Your audiologist will assist you throughout the process of choosing hearing aids. You will have an appointment called a Communication Needs Assessment. At this appointment your audiologist will review your audiogram, discuss hearing aid use and expectations with hearing aids. They will also discuss your communication lifestyle to determine what technology level is best for you, then compare different styles of hearing aids.
Personal preferences are also considered during this appointment including:

– Finances
– Features and functionality
– Phone/Bluetooth compatibility

Hearing Aid Accessories
Today’s hearing aids can be utilized in conjunction with assistive listening devices (ALD) to further help in complex environments such as background noise, television, or when distance is involved. Your audiologist can help determine if an ALD would be helpful for you, and what devices are available.
REmote Microphone
These are small devices that connect to the hearing aids. The microphone can be worn by a single speaker or placed in the center of a small group gathering. The microphone will pick up the speakers voice and put the sound directly into the patient’s hearing aids. This is helpful in loud environments or where distance in involved such as: restaurants, meetings, church, and sporting events.
TV Streamer
This device is plugged into the back of the television while also Bluetooth connected to the hearing aids. It allows the TV audio to be streamed into the hearing aids to assist with distance or echo-related factors when watching television.
Audio Streaming Adapters
An adapter allows you to stream sound directly to the hearing aids from other Bluetooth enabled devices.
